Don't have much information over Pivot Table..
But VLOOKUP is really a great tool.. which is been used to get the accurate data from a large storage of data having atleast a single similar field.. like employee code...
It is been used extensively when data is of large number of people..
Like when the data is of more than 100 employees and some left the organisation in a particular month and some join even.. then if we have to get the data for new manpower from the old one.. then it is very difficult to get it through copy n paste, as it will require a cross check and will consume time..
Whereas with VLOOKUP we may get all the data with a single formula only...
