In your policy you had mentioned that
quote
"Any uninformed leave will be considered as two days paid leave as a penalty."
unquote
Could it be better to devise this as
quote
"Any uninformed leave will be considered as two days unpaid leave as a penalty"

Dear Friend

When you are writing Covid Leave policy, Pl check the following points.

SOP issued by the Govt. For example any employee has any symptom of cough/fever/cold should be tested before allowing him for duty. SOPs clearly says what r the tests to be done.

If employee tested positive - should be given 14 days paid leave and suppose tested negative, but still have symptoms, may advise him to go HRCTC, if corald score is 4 then further test needs to be conducted.

If employee attends duty without communicating to the organization that he was tested positive, what needs to be done.

If you can go thru SOP issued by the Govt, u will have lot of ideas for preparation of leave policy.
