What if employee elopes after getting full salary as a special case due to maternity? Any clause that employer can mention?

There is nothing much which can be done. Maternity payments are a social welfare action. Few may take advantage. But treat it as part of business expense.

Hi
You mean to say left the organization after taking full salary?
As mentioned by our learned friend the maternity benefit being a social welfare scheme you cannot put any conditions for the rules laid by the Govt.
Thanks and Regards

If you presumed that employee may elope after getting full salary, is really a matter to every establishment and they have to do something to stop it. You can not put a clause because would goes against act & rules. A letter can be issued stating that due to pandemic situation some of your payments are deferred as happened to all other employees in our establishment, your balance amount will be cleared in later date once situation improves. You pay the basic withholding other components but do not stop payment.
