Hi, I am working as HR, I have to give a Reliving letter to an employee who is working with us more eight-month, but this employee comes to our organisation as a transfer from our vendor who works for our project. He is working with our vendor more-then one year on our project. So kindly give me a format for reliving letter to issue the employee with both tenures.

Hi Jayesh,
You may not need to provide relieving letters for the duration the employee had worked under your vendor, before he was transferred as an employee to your company. The relieving letter can be provided for the 8 month duration he had worked with you as an employee. For the duration before that he would be on contract with you but as an employee of the vendor who had been working on your project. So the vendor may have to provide the relieving letter for that duration, which should have been done, before transferring the employee to your company. If required, you can provide a letter of reference for the duration.
