I have one query regarding claiming LTA in my organization.
Actually my parents have traveled from one Origin to destination using train. They got their seat in train as they belong to senior citizen quota but I didn't get the seat. I have traveled between same origin and destination using a hired taxi.
Our origin and destination is same, but our mode of transport is different. Can I claim LTA with this. Thanks

Please check your organisational rules for LTA-mode of travel.
Many organisations do not include Taxi or private cars a s a mode of travel when origin and end place are connected by rail and/or public transport.
Have you got a stamped receipt from taxi driver and what was the mode of payment to the driver?

I have checked my organization policies. I can claim taxi bill for LTA also. But I am not sure whether different mode of transport are permissible for parents and employee, keeping in view the origin and destination are same.
