Hello all, I have joined an LLP in the month of june. The employer is not providing me offer letter though repeatedly asking again and again. last month i have taken 2 days leave due to flu. I have submitted my medical certificates also. Though i have submitted my certificates they have deducted 2 days salary giving a reason i have to serve 6 months notice period then only they will provide me leave and offer letter. can anyone suggest me next steps to be taken from myself.? I have read some article that if a company which doesn't provide offer letter has no rights to deduct salary of an employee. is that right?

Every company will have different policies.You can check what they have discussed with you during your recruitment/Joining/in Appointment letter.
Some of the companies do not provide any leaves during probation period,some provide only Casual Leave during probation period and some will not restrict to provide the leaves,it depends on the policy of the company.

Firstly they said that company would provide leaves for sick and during national festivals. Now they are expecting work even on week off day (Sunday).

Generally Employees are allowed to take certain sick-leaves during the probation period of six months. *Normally, it is 1 days for every month. Annual leaves are annual and can only be taken after the completion of one year with the organization.
Taking leave during Probationary period totally depends on the organization. MNC companies allows you to take leave during probationary period for emergency. May be few companies have restriction and loss of pay. If your company rule is not to take leave during probationary then your not suppose to take leave until they give permission. If they give permission against the rules also it will result in loss of pay. The Leave Policy may differs Concern to Concern, check your company leave policy act accordingly.

Who controls "Leave Policy"? Factories Act/ Shops and Establishment Act/ The Factories/Org themselves at their pleasure?
70 years or more it has been, this concept of social justice on providing leave came into our thought....but we are still struggling and debating on this matter even today's age! Sad!
Many organisations, of course there are many exceptions too, proactively do not issue appointment letters to escape and shield themselves against legal obligation to pay to the leaving employees/workers.
Earning a livelihood remains a top priority in front of the needy employees/workers/professionals...who join with good faith in the Org.....only to be denied/exploited later.
The new wage code now makes it mandatory on the employer part to issue appointment letters to all.
