Dear Member,
In accordance with section 1(3) of this Code, it shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may by notification in the Official Gazette appoint. Thus now we are to wait for the date of applicability of this new Act. Units in whose case appropriate Govt. is state Govt. are also covered under this Act.

Govt will have to also notify Rules under the Code. We have to wait for separate notification for the Code to come into force. Thanks

How will the compensation structure change in light of the Wage Code
From India, Noida
SP IYENGAR
The views of Mr. Agrawal is correct. The Govt has published only the Code of Wages in the Gazette. Notifications are yet to be issued intimating effective date of provisions of the Act. Different Dates are possible. The Rules under Sec 67 (1) by the appropriate government and 67(3) by the Central Government are to be made. They are to be pre-published before they are made.We have not seen any such publication.
Let us wait and see.

It looks like all the 4 Labour Codes would get rolled out together around the same time.
