Dear All - I am working on leave policy for 15 countries across the globe. Pl help to clarify - Does leave policy have to be a standardised one applicable to all global employees or it has to be country specific based on Country labour law compliance?

Hello,
Nowhere is it feasible to give a standard leave policy.
Every country has its own prescribed norms for leaves , categorisation and days. You will need to make a customised leave policy for each of the countries and perhaps even states (some states have their own recommendations too!)
The only way one can standardise it is by giving the highest number of leaves of all the 15 countries to all employees! Which would cause a strain on company resources. This call needs to be taken by your company.
Hope this helps.

There cannot be globally standard leave policy, which is just impossible . Each region/area will have recommended leave schedule as per Local Govt rule/regulation. Take an over all view - think global and act local, unless the HO makes a strict law that certain leaves to be on par with HO, then there could be few more leaves to the other areas which could be discussed with your company heads
