Dear All, I was working in game development company around 7 years, My employer, every year gave me an appraisal letter that mentioned, all my CTC. Also they have mentioned that,
"You will be given a Performance incentive of Rs.25,000 as cash and Rs.25,000 as credit against ESOP for your dedication and commitment to your work as well as taking on more responsibilities in your day to day work." 25,000 cash is credited, but the ESOP is not given. I don't know is ESOP, when I ask the employer, he said that, "it is a share, if a company grows, then you will get huge amount".
Other than that they haven't given anything about ESOP. I am doubting that they don't have any such plan as per the rules. Once I left the company, they haven't settle the ESOP or anything equivalent to that. In this case, whether the employer is cheating? or just mentioning the ESOP in the appraisal letter is enough? So please clear my doubts. If you need further details please let me know I will provide.
