I am Handling the HR department of an IT Company with an employee size of 40 people. We already have a process in place of announcing core value winner of the month/employee of the month.
I just want to give a physical certificate also with our normal award process of giving the prize money and the half day leave in their account ( as per company policy). Giving a physical certificate will help me in posting some attractive employee engagement activities that we already do in our organization. It can be one of the recruitment tools for attracting good talent.
Any suggestion or feedback will be appreciated. I would like to review any disadvantages I might have while doing this.

Employee recognition in any ways always benefits to organization. I will suggest you to follow the six sigma concept of "JUST DO IT "
Keep always one thing in mind recognize to one who deserve it not to every one, it will spoil the recognition program, identify the selection criteria and validation of selection for reward & recognition. Never stop this activity, it will give organization long term benefits
