Notice period will be stated in appointment order. You need to follow the period and exit in peaceful manner. Always try to leave an employer in good terms and get all documentation done up to date.

In the matter of continuation or unilateral termination of a regular contract of employment, probation, if prescribed, is an important phase more advantagious to the employer and vulnerable to the newly appointed employee as it happens to be a critical period of evaluation of the latter's suitability for the job by the former. As long as a probationer is not officially confirmed by his employer, he remains a probationer only.
Therefore, the conditions of notice etc mentioned in the appointment orders would simply apply during the entire period.
