I have worked for almost one year in one small software company as a Software Engineer. At the time of joining, they asked 20000 rs for security purpose so without thinking into the future I paid and they did not give any receipt and didn't gave any call letters. After joining they did not give even a single rupee for 6 months. They tortured me a lot if I ask the salary. After six months they started to give salary 3000 per month. I questioned them like "why your not giving full salary" They simply replied if you want to work here Work otherwise go out. I just worked there to satisfy my parents. Once they called me said me to sign on the bond and said my salary will increase from next month.
So i kept some hopes on them and signed there. The next month at the time of salary again they gave 5000. I said them I don't need this i want to resign. They blackmailed me about the bond. After some months i quit the job without any intimation to the employer. They did not give me the call letters till now even i dont have offer email. They called me many times i scared and did not lift the call for one month. Now they messaged me if i did not report the office and submit the project they will put a case on me.but if i go there surely they will mentally harass me. Can you please provide a solution sir. What i need to do if they file case on me regarding bond.
And one more bond paper is not a 10 or 20 rs legal bond paper, its just a green paper.

Dear Colleague,
After suffering mental torture and monetary losses for one year in the company whose actions are questionable, you are approaching this forum rather late. This company does not seem to have business/projects to sustain and future is bleak because of which they are adopting such dubious means. No wonder if it folds down soon.
But you also made glaring mistakes:
- Joining without appointment letter and knowing salary/benefits
- No background check about company's standing in the business, projects on hand and financial
status

- Paying Rs 20,000/- thousand without any documents
- Signing bond
- Absconding from one fine day
At this stage, I can only suggest to approach local Labour Commissioners' office with written complaint well drafted by some expert putting the entire sequence of events and wrong d0ings by the company.
While joining new company take care you know fully well about it, have documents in hand and make sure that you are not joining any fly by night company.

Dear friend,
I am in complete agreement with the suggestion of Mr. Vinayak. One should not be so gullible in life very particularly in the matter of employment. Your complaint to the Labour Department would certainly deter the ex employer from precipitating the issue further.
Also submit a petition to the State Chief Minister's Special Cell so that there would be directions to the District Collector concerned.

Hi
As suggested by learned friends in the earlier columns, see that you are a more matured and learned employee.
Take the above said advise and move along with your life without giving too much importance to this one issue. You take it up as it comes as you too know that you made several blunders but nothing life threatening...so why stress yourself too much.
Make sure to lodge the complaint to preempt the issue[s] that might arise and move along with your normal life.
Thanks and Regards
