I would like to know my options in this situation. I work for an International B.P.O and every week I get new Week off.
Sometimes I have to work for 9 regular days to get week off and sometimes I just work for 2 days and I get week off.
On raising this issue the operations told me that it's business requirement and we have to align the week off as per the client forecast.

Dear friend,
Since yours is an ITES establishment, it is covered by the State's Shops and Establishments Act. I have no knowledge about the exemptions,if any granted under the Delhi Shops & Estt Act,1954 to such establishments from the provisions relating to working hours and weekly holiday to the employees. Normally, under any Labor Law, every consecutive six days of work should be followed by a day of rest or weekly off or weekly holiday. I don't think that there can be any permissible departure from this general principle in respect of a BPO like yours as a special case. The contention of your Operations Manager that the weekly off of his employees should be aligned with the clients' requirements is certainly incorrect as well as against the legal provisions of weekly hours of work and weekly holiday. Better, make a complaint to the Labor Commissioner by some means or other accordingly.
