I have been working with an IT company for past 3+yrs. in the last month I got an opportunity with another organisation and have resigned but my current employer is not accepting my resignation and harassing me. The notice period is 3 months and going by the terms of appointment I will be serving 1.5 months and will be buying out the balance period- as in salary of lieu of it- this is given in my appointment letter that we are required to serve the notice period or pay salary for the unserved period. Employer is threatening me to not give me the relieving and asking me to leave without letters if I don’t serve 3 -6months period of notice and transition. What are my legal options ? Please help me as I am under a lot of stress and don’t want to put my career at stake. Also, pls note that Out of rage and anger My current employer had me asked to stop reporting to office and that he will relieve me immediately so I committed an early joining to my future employers. But post that my current employer called me to come to office to resolve the issue but now are not answering my emails and responding to my messages as well and not talking to me when I approach them in office. I am feeling harrsed and lost. Please help.

Employer is not accepting my resignation nor confirming the date of relieving. They are harassing me by asking me to leave without relieving documents and non-communicative with me.
