My Employee gross is 20000 and every month he is contributing 1800 to PF. In a case, he was absent to office for 15 days so that month he took only Rs 10000 as gross as per the day count t. Do we need to follow the same to PF? In that case, the employee will contribute only Rs 900 to PF. IS it the correct approach. Can somebody explain correct approach ?

Dear Srihari,PF is deducted based on Gross Basic+DA+VDA Salary earned in a Month. As & when gross earnings comes down, PF Deduction also comes down
You have shown PF Deduction of Rs900/- for EPF Salary of Rs10,000/-?
EPF Wages should be Rs7,500/-
