Hi,
you need to divide your salary as below.
Salary/total days = per day salary.
per day salary/working hours= per hour amount.
per hour amount*total hours of OT= Total Amount.
but in some company they are giving double rate. it means whatever you are getting hourly u need to multiply by 2.

The OT calculation is salary/26/8*no of OT hours. As per act they have to give double the wages if they apply then the calculation is Salary/26/8*2*no of OT hrs.

Yes
Under section 51 and sec.59 0f factories Act 1948 and section 14 of mininimum wages act1948 9 hours per a day and not more than 48 of a week (week means 6 days only .)
Any worker works more than 9 hrs..in a day ...For every hour is treated as overtime period.
For its for every hour of overtime double of the wages should be paid to the worker by management......
Suppose work schedule maybe differed in a week but crossed 48 hours of work for every one hour treated as over time.
Suppose a worker works monday 2hrs ot wednesday one hr ot thursday 3 hrs .Like that total spread over working hours crossed 48 hrs in a week that hours or overtime....
Suppose a worker gets 8320 per a month .It should be devided by 26....
8320÷26= Rs.320 per a Day.
320Rs.per a day.
For getting 0nehour salary
320÷8= 40 Rs. Per hour.
For overtime hour calculation Rs 40×2=Rs 80..
In every 12 hr shift in a day the management can have provision to retain worker for 09 hrs . After 09hrs of work every one hour can be fall in to overtime...
All the best.
