Can Hospital hire workers on daily wages basis? What are the statutory benefits applicable to these workers? Any criteria about their tenure?

In any organization Daily Wagers can be engaged on works of casual or intermittent or incidental nature. But engaging any workman continuosly as well as considerably for longer periods would automatically imply that the works are of regular nature and the very engagement is a ploy to deny him the status of a regular workman of the organization for obvious reasons which would tantamount to unfair labor practice under the Industrial Disputes Act,1947 apart from conferring all the service rights and benefits on such Daily Wager.

Dear colleague
Keeping the aspect of unfair practice in mind as stated above, you can engage daily rated workers in hospital provided you pay them minimum wages as applicable..
