I bifurcate gross salary at this ratio is it ok or not ? please advise.
If Gross Salary 20K
Basic @ 65% of gross: 13000
HRA @ 50% of remaining Amt: 3500
Conv.@ 30% of Remaining Amt:2100
Medical @ 20% remaining Amt: 1400
Total Gross: 20k

Dear Singhsahdeo,
You can search this forum itself for many posts on salary break up explained in detail.
HRA should be 50% or 40% on Basic and not the balance amount of gross.
And you can take the guidance of your accounts team who can give inputs regarding taxable income and related exemptions for the break up to be even more accurate.
