Maharashtra Shops and Establishment Act 2017 prescribes as per Section 17 the following details in an ID card for employee.
17. Employer to furnish identity card to worker.
The employer of an establishment shall furnish to every worker an identity card which shall be produced by the worker on demand by Facilitator. Such card shall contain the following and such other particulars as may be prescribed, namely :—
(a) the name of the employer ;
(b) the name, if any, and the postal address, of the establishment;
(c) the name and age of the worker;
(d) date of joining, department, nature of work, designation;
(e) the signature (with date) of the employer or manager;
(f) Blood Group;
(g) Aadhaar Card Number.

It is not advisable to make Adhar Card a public document looking to the possible misuse of such information. At any rate the final word on whether it can be made compulsory is being heard in the Supreme Court.
