I would like to know, if an IT employee during office hours falls on the floor and got serious hurt and he was bed ridden for a month due to fracture and was unable to come to office. Will that employee be compensated under for loss of pay for a month as he was in the office at the time of accident?
There is no specific statutory provision for compensation like EC or ESI (salary presumed to be more than ceiling amount) which is applicable in such matters. But the general law of the land (Specific Relief Act ) wold be attracted is to be examined on the basis of the full facts.
