I am working in a pvt organisation for consolidated pay of 20000 per month without any deductions as my company pays only fixed salaries. Now I am going to attend an interview in PSU. What would be the best answer if they ask why you are getting fixed pay without any deductions. Kindly help me what are the best possible answers to convince them.

Fixed pay w/o any deduction was a company policy.
Just be frank enough to tell the interview panel the truth if they ask.
Try to focus more on your skill and job ability, rather than on your deductions or lack of deductions.
Many small companies just pay a fixed amount.
It will not be a negative point for you.
PSUs have clear wage policy and does not depend on what candidate was earning before.

Dear Srikanth,
What was the total employee count? If the count was below 20 then you can very well say that your company was registered under PF and ESI. However, not doing deduction for Professional Tax (PT) is inexplicable.
Thanks,
