1. Sir, if an ex-serviceman( retired from defense forces) will join any insurable employment as defined under ESI Act, 1948 and rules/ regulations framed thereunder, then he/she will be coverable and contribution is required to be paid and payable under above Act. He/she will naturally be entitled for all benefits as defined under above law based on his entitlement.
2. There are no rules/regulations or any exemption specially in respect of above category of persons. He/she will be an "employee" or "insured person" if working in covered unit and getting wages within coverable limit as laid down under above law.
