Could any one guide me about what would me the minimum wages i.e Basic wages + DA for Painters (i.e people doing painting works for buildings) in MAHARASHTRA. I tried to search in the latest minimum wages list but couldn't find under what category would the painters come? Does it come under the Factories under Fy. Act (Residuary) ?

Shri Umakanthan has rightly categorised BOCW schedule Industry for painters. However, you can also look for Automobile Industry/Ship building if painters are deployed in these industry. Suresh
