In our establishment one employee IP his family (WIFE) having some maternity problem. doctors suggested Laparoscopic operation is must. He was joined (Man employee) esi on 01/07/2016 but esi department said his wife is not eligible for that benefit why.....?
Already 14 months contribution also paid. please give me suggestion

Dear Mr Munnawar, wife of an Insured Person is eligible for taking treatment in ESI DISPENSARY/HOSPITAL.PLEASE LOG IN TO ESI IP PORTAL WITH ESI INSURANCE # TO KNOW WHETHER EMPLOYEE IS eligible for "Specialized Treatment"

Laparoscopic operation may not be applicable for you. Try to ask ESI hospital members that whether I am not eligible or does it require more years of contribution period.
