Hi All, As per the HR policy our notice period is 1 month. I would like to circulate a notice for senior most staff or staff on Important position that the notice period has been reviewed and from April'17 onwards their notice period will be of 3 months instead of 1 month.
Please help me in drafting the same.

Hi,
Please note, you can not do any backdated amendment as if somebody is already on resignation then the amendment in contract of employment wef April,2017 is not valid for him / her. Secondly, you need to prepare a letter for amendment and get it acknowledge by the employees in writing to make it authorised.

Notice Period should be as mentioned in the Appointment Letter mutually agreed & accepted. If Notice period is to be increased from 1 Month to 3 Months with prospective Date, Individual Letters to be issued to all concerned & acknowledgement to be obtained as proof of acceptance of change in Notice period from 1 Month to 3 Months. Mere mentioning in your HR Policy ill not suffice
