Hi,
I have to prepare the paid holiday list for 2008. Until this year we had been giving 4 public holidays and 4 festival holidays.
Now i have query, is their any statutory norm on the minimum and maximum holidays to be given?
Which is the Act that describes @ the norms?

Hi Guys!
My question is the same as Yamini's...
I just wanted to know if there is a minimum no. of days to be given as holidays for the year-2008 as per the Govt.?
If yes,is it 9 days mandatory for the entire year?
Kindly revert ASAP.
Warm Regards,
Aarti

1 holiday is optional ie anant chaturdashi and bakri id.u can take one of them depending on ur employee's wish.other 10 holidays are as per govt holidays.
