Friends,
Let us not create confusion. It is only a Bill which is pending in Parliament. It will be effective only after it is passed in Parliament, gets assent of the President and a notification is issued to this effect.
Thanks

Dear RSJLEXSYS, Kindly note that recently TN govt enhanced the maternity leave only for govt.servants. it would not applicable for private sectors.

Gadekarlina,
Download the MB act from the Internet and give them the copy of it and explain to them that you are entitled for it as per law. You can also email it to them. That becomes a record. In case, they still refuse, then inform the labour officer of your local area. He will take it up with your management and get it enforced.

Dear Members,
The notification shared by FCVadodara was passed in Lok Sabha and clearly mentioned as "To be introduced in the Rajya Sabha"
However, pls find attached the formal notification (being introduced in Rajya Sabha as well).
Hope this will resolve the query. Experience member can put more light.
