Respected HRs and professionals
I am working for a firm which helps individuals in rental house hunting in Gurgaon. I've been asked to find a potential channel for partnership with the companies. I have come to know about company's relocation assistance to employees as one of the channel. Can you guide me regarding what are company's current policies regarding relocation and help in house hunting? Does company's have a third party vendor for house hunting? If no, will the company be willing to have one? Who is the concerned person to conatct in the company to move forward with the partnership? Also, can you give me any insight if there are any other channel for potential channel partnership with companies?

Hi Abhagat990,
Generally companies provide stay for new joiner for a week to couple of weeks, based on the management's discretion. For hunting a house for that employee, there is no specific policy for that. However, the online housing portals like 99acres, commonfloor, nobroker, magicbricks, etc have a corporate connect team who will help you guys in assisting the new employee to find a house at no extra cost. Simple :)

there is no hard and fast rule or any law relating to the subject . You need to frame a policy for it.You can give one week joining time at the new place of posting during which teh company can reimburse his lodging and connivance charges and also halting allownace. this will help find a home within a week.. The company can also collect information from the employees about availability of accommodation on rent. as a service to such employees.
