Dear Seniors ,
Greetings of the day !!!
First of all i would like to thank all the seniors, who have advised persons like me on practical knowledge and thereby helped enormously in handling various issues, in gaining knowledge and keeping us aware .
Also salute to CITE...what an amazing job of keeping us all together.. ALL in one, ONE in all.
Sir, We would like to be advised upon a issue of an Permanent Female Employee who has been showing neurological disorders of Convulsion, the recent episode was two nights ago in Girls hostel, infact after the first episode which was almost 15 days ago on duty , we decided to show her to a neurologist who then advised her some medication and declared her absolutely fit to work under medication only.
Now it seems that the convulsions are recurring and are a cause of worry to us as in the matter of safety of all. Also it seems that this Female employee has been abandoned by her family and could be suicidal. Our other female staff are taking care of her on humanatarian grounds.
Now we would like to know what should be our direction as our concern remains -
1) If we inform the candidate to take proper medical care and rejoin with medically fit certificate, then chances are the employee could go suicidal.
So Seniors, please advice us in this matter, Your advice will give us direction.
Warm Regards,
A

Dear A,
The condition of the employee is pathetic and it creates a precarious situation for all others including the employer. But there is no mention in your post about the nature of her job or duties. Unpredictable and recurring convulsions would render an employee medically unfit for any job involving handling of tools or machineries. So, better offer her a suitable alternative job.

Dear A,
Advise given by Shri. Umakanthanji is very precised. I would just add to him in addition. You should assist her in getting best available treatment including counselling under given circumstances. GOD bless her as well you and your company, female staff who are taking care of her.
