hi all please let me know if PF deduction is complusory if i am offered salary of rs.20,000 pm....i didnt get any offer letter and asked to setup HR activity in my ofc...please help..none of the current employees have any deduction...all get paid monthly payment in cash

Hello, If your establishment is not exempted, then PF deduction is compulsory. No matter what your salary is, PF will be deducted and remitted to the PF Office by your establishment.

First check whether your organisation is covered under EPF
PF is calculated only on the Basic+DA & retaining allowances. If your Basic + DA is 15000/- or less then yes even you are covered under EPF.
If your Basic+DA is above 15000/- then if already you are member to EPF still yes you are covered under EPF
If you are not the member of EPF earlier then you are exempted but still if you are willing to contribute then you may be covered as optional case. In this case both 12% of EE & 12% of ER should be contributed only to EPF & no EPF
