We are working in autonomous body institute it works under Central Govt policies and that is located in telangana state .Recently a telangana govt released a salary hike for out sourcing and contract employees stating different scales in different levels like un skilled , semi - skilled and Skilled .( 6000/- to hiked 12000/- and 7600/- to 15600/- and 10600/- to 17900/-) Our Contractor saying that we are not entitled for that of that scale pays which is released by State Govt. You people work in Central Institute so its not applicable for you.

My question is that when contractor is in the same state and he may even take contractorship in state govt also but and he has to follow the state govt rules stating and pay that pay scales which are released by the state Govt , Even we also work in the same state why are we not eligible for the state govt salaries . we are also a contract employess in our ID Card is is clearly mentioned outsourcing. Now please can anyone explain why are we not eligible for that pay scales . Our employees strength is 470 members in that Institute

Please check the definition of appropriate government under the contract labour act.
And see which definition you fall under - state or central
The minimum wages applicable will be as notified by the appropriate government.
