Maternity Leaves For Private Sector In India

Hi, According to recent news, the Maternity Act in India is going to be ammended to extent the maternity leaves in private sector to 26 weeks. Could you please give a timeline as to by when can we expect this to be implemented actually in companies.

Dear Member, the proposed amendment in the said Act has not so far been passed and is still at discussion stage.
