I would like to know the salary difference between onsite and offsite projects in a company. Which one is better to work to get better salary- onsite or offsite?

Hi,
Both have their own pro's & Con's.
Onsite job may give you little better salary, but will also give you good experience. The fixed extra allowances will be there as monitory perks, but they will be over & above the salary package, so would not be considered during change of job as 'salary'.
On the cons side, the job will be more hectic & time demanding. You may be isolated from the rest of the industry, & may be away from the management eye span. You may end up doing monotonous job.
Offsite jobs will give you steady salary with periodic raise. Job experience will be limited. No extra allowances, but complete CTC will be on your portfolio.
You can enjoy family life & manageable duty hours. You can keep an eye on market & look for opportunities. You can be in view of management & show performance first hand to receive appraisals.
Finally, what interests you & suits your preferences, would give you more satisfaction of the job. Salary is not the only aspect in choosing the job.
