AMENDMENT TO THE PAYMENT OF BONUS ACT, 1965

The Cabinet in its meeting held on October 1, 2007 has approved the Amendments to the payment of Bonus Act, 1965, which are as follows:-
i) Amendment to Section 2(13): To raise the eligibility limit for payment of bonus from the salary or wage of to Rs.10,000 per month.
ii) Amendment to section 12: To raise the ceiling for calculation purpose from the salary or wage of to per month, and;
iii) Deletion of section 32(vi): To cover the employees employed through contractors on building operations .

Hi,
I would like to ask that regarding this payment of bonus act. Will I get this bonus if my basic salary was less then 10000 Rs. in 2008-2009. If yes, then when will generaly this bonus has been relised...... boz 2008-2009 financial year has been end......

Maharashtra mandates payment of bonus only through cheques/banks
The Government of Maharashtra vide ordinance from the Labour Department dated 17.09.2010 has mandated payment of bonus to all workers/employees through cheque/bank account only.
The employers should, therefore, immediately open their own bank accounts and those of their workers, if not already opened in any nationalized/scheduled banks having core banking facility.
In case of any concerns please contact local labour office.

i am aware of the minimum bonus is 8.33% & ealigibility is 3500-10000
but i am confused that the maximum limit of 10000/- whether it is total gross/earnings or basic salary or basic+conveyance
if possible please send me the act copy of the same.
