Hello Everyone,
My self Rutvi Khandwala , working with an IT company in Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Many of us have started our career in Human Resource without having a degree of MBA specialised in HR ( like me) , but have got good success in profession, but somewhere in a corner of our heart, we feel a lack, not lack of knowledge, lack of resources/books, which was unfortunately was out of our capacity due to unsufficient fund/Guidance.
So here, in my company i am getting a chance to get good books provided by company. Our director has asked me to give me list of the documents with the name of Authors.
Can you please suggest me name of useful books with Authors name (e.g: for Payroll, TDS, Performance Appraisal, statutory compliance, interviews etc)
Thanks in Advance
Regards,
Rutvi Khandwala

Rutvi - Purchasing the books in a tech enabled world is needless expenditure. Ideal if you can download information on acts/rules and updates on the labor laws, associated acts, industrial act/s, etc and use that to refresh your knowledge. Additional topics of interest like organizational development, new age recruiting, etc can be read on the web since they are prone to frequent change and edits/updates.

Dear Rutvi
I agree with Talentsorcerer, there is a lot of free material available on web including many e-books and all the material is easily accessible you just have to find out what's important for you.
I would also like to add that it's not important to have a degree though it helps a lot but what matters more is practical knowledge and exposure.
Wish you all the best.

we have only 12 employees in our IT organisation which is in email hosting and software development. We have not paid deducted PF for our employees who have salary from the range of 10,000-3 employees, 13000 -2 employees, 15,500-1employee,18000- 1employee,17500 1 employee. Now the status is that at this moment if we deduct any PF from these salaries people would be very unhappy. And they said that they do not want PF deduction. In this case can a exemtion be opted for such employees. our company has never paid gratuity to any employee as our strength is less,so can we keep ouselves away from this. And neither do any employee in IT last for more than 3years in our company. After learning everything they vanish. Are we liable to pay bonus as we are a very small IT company. We give gifts to our employees in Diwali but never give bonus as such .Can you guide me how to exempt from all these things.
