Hello All
I have been working for 5 years in a US based company. In India its branch is in Tricity. All of sudden they said that they don't need me anymore and asked me to resign.
I refused to resign and asked them to give me termination letter and mention the same reason as they had given to me. But they mentioned the reson that my behaviour is not good and work is not upto the mark.
In 5 years I got multiple promotions. i had joined as an executive and now i was Assistant Manager in the company. If my work and behaviour was not good and upto the mark then how i got the promotions.
Even i did not got any warning mail regarding my work.
Kindly advise me in this regard what to do.

Legally they have to send you a show cause notice for any misconduct or any work related issues, thereafter an explanation is sought, on receiving unsatisfactory explanation they can issue warning and thereafter termination. But since you are Asst. Manager do you think it is wise to seek legal suit then please proceed, or else please do not waste time please hunt a new job and carry on. The employer can have innumerable reasons to terminate you. It is advisable to resign and have a smooth exit.
Lastly please wait for other forum member/seniors to give their opinion/view/advise.
