If an industry experience of 10 years with Part time MBA can be replaced by a fresher or a candidate having 1 year experience and with a Degree from tier 1 B school? Kindly share your views.
Most of the employer, specially in India are running after regular MBA or Degree from a tier 1 B School irrespective of the amount of experience and knowledge the candidate is carrying.
In my view everyone should be given a chance to prove his/her potential. At least this should not be in the criteria for appearing in an interview. A change in the perception of the Indian Employers is very much required. What you Say...?

Dear Dipankar,
Perceptions always differ. It all depends on which side of the fence you are and what kind of experiences your destiny tosses towards you. Recently there was discussion on the following thread. I, along with other members have given the views. To certain extent it matches with your challenge.

Dear Dinesh,
Thanks comment but my question out here is not about knowledge and skill. My question is, If someone has got a MBA degree from a regular MBA that does it mean that he is more knowledgeable or skilled than the other who have already spent about 4 to 5 years time in the industry and has the same MBA degree through distance learning ?

I would like to add my views of practical experience I undergone for the last 3-4 Months in the job market. The people who are heading HR or Handling Recruitment function of an organisation think only about the master degree in regular course and do not consider the work knowledge or expertise obtained through work carried out by a person all along with a PGDPM by correspondence. This scenario in the industry will hurt the experienced persons like me in the job market. Rather they may have some bench marking like 8 yrs of professional exp may be treated as = to a master degree obtained from a reputed universities, 12-15 years of exp = to master degree obtained from B or A or other higher level Institutions in India which may differ according to the size or the nature of the industry. Hope cite Hr Community will now focus on this and try to build an amicable solution to help experienced HR professionals too who do not have Master degree. Moreover, this concept has started growing very fast and the responsible people even do not look at the profile to understand one's capabilities by considering the age factor. Please do not mistake my views or wrongly interpret.
