Profession Tax slab for Salaried Employees in Maharashtra state are as follows:
Salary / wages upto Rs. 5000/- --------------------------------------Nil
Salary between Rs. 5,001/- to Rs. 10,000/- --------------------------Rs. 175/-
Rs. 10,001/- and above --------------------------------------------------Rs. 200/-*
(* Rs. 300/- for the month of February)

GUYS One thing i want to know...
if my salary is 18,000/- Per month, i am getting salary full every month with 200/- deduction of Professional Tax,
last month i took advance payment of 25000/- from company.
now i wanted to deduct/return advance from my salary in full i.e Rs.18000/-...
so am i applicable to have deduction of Rs.200/- of PT ?
as i am not taking salary from company. deducting it full (25000-18000=8000 next month)
guys guide me please ..
