Hi,
I would be grateful if someone tells me, whether or not, I need to pay a bond amount of more than 2 lakhs even after resigning during probation period.
My company is having a bond of 1 yr and a probation period of 1 month. But I have resigned under probation period i.e. before confirmation of my services.
Please tell me if it is mandatory to pay BOND amount in this case.
Thanks
Appysy

You case is similar to the case of the link above. The only difference is your probation period.
My reply is same for your query also.

Sorry Ankit but your case is diff frm what I am asking. I had signed a 1 yr bond of 2 lakhs with my company at the time of joining.
But since I have resigned before completion of my probation period (1 mnth), I just want to know am I still need to pay the bond amount.
And what happens if i dont pay the said amount.

No bond is enforceable in India. You do not have to pay anything, unless and until they have made a tangible investment into you in terms of training. Even the investment made must be something substantial. Just tell them that Bonded labour is abolished in India long time back. You can look up the various posts on Bonds in the forum. There have been lots of posts on why bonds are not enforceable.

Thanks Rajesh....I was just luking for this kind of assurance from someone.
They have not invested a single penny in terms of anything on me.
Infact, I had given them few tips on how to manage projects.
Thanks again
