Aditya illa
Hi,

I have worked for a MNC for 4.5 years and resigned in 2013. Recently in the month of February 2014 I have applied for the PF withdrawal. My PF account belongs to Bengaluru office. I have received a mail from my previous organization in the month of March stating the PF form has been sent to the PF office and for the status need to check with the Bengaluru PF team. I have checked the status online and it states that it is under process. When called to check the status on 13th of March they have informed me that the PF amount would be credited into my account in 5-6 working days; however, the amount has not been credited. I called them once again during the last week of March to check the status and they said the amount would be credited in the 1st week of April.

When I try to call now to check the status around 12:30 in the afternoon, I get an answer from them stating that they are on a lunch break till 3:00 pm and asked me to call later. When called again for the second time I have been told that the applications are down and they cannot give me the status. The online status is still showing as "Under process".

Many of my ex-colleagues who have requested for PF withdrawal received the amount within 2 weeks. I wanted to check what is the time period they take to process the PF withdrawal.

Regards,

Aditya

Dear Aditya,
Normally, your PF withdrawal form can be submitts to PF office only after 2 months from date of leaving, there is 2 months cooling period.
Post 2 months submittion of PF withdrawal form, its normaly take 60 days to settle your PF amount.
So, first check whether your PF withdrawal form has been really submitted or not..? if they said submitted then, ask for acknolewdge copy of the same,
Most of the time, PF website is down or not updated, so, please be relation, its goverment work, if everything is ok, then it will be done with said time period, some times, there is mistake, error, wrong information, not available the relevent information due to lead the more delay in settlement also.
Performance of settlement of PF is also depend on regional office. in Mumbai, Bandra & Thane regional offices are very famouse to settlement of dues very fast within the time line, it is my personal experience.

Apart from what Mr. Tushar has mentioned, would like to add on that you can also send a grievance online to the PF which escalates and you will get the reply in writing
