The same method, looking at sample letters is the key as it has been in previous years. I recommend you to get the idea by looking at samples but don't try to copy or personalize the same letter. Because someone else might've send that letter to your boss and then he/she'll know that you are using pre-planned letters and I don’t know why but in a weird way I don’t find it very professional. So, I recommend you to look up some nice sample letters but write your own piece of cake.
