Dear Deepthi
First of all welcome the EHS Forum of CiteHR.
Appreciate the interest shown by HR people like you in the field of EHS.
If you ask is it compulsory to make EHS policy for a consultancy/networking firm answer is no.
But try to understand the importance of EHS Policy... What exactly it?... Why you getting demand from your clients for an EHS Policy?... Why demand in our country for Safety getting increased even though there is no much enforcement from the various enforcing bodies in the country.
Try to develop on EHS Policy for your company. Its basically a commitment of your management to the stake holders stating that they will take care about Environment, Health and Safety of all concerns associated during delivery of all the operations/activities offering by the company. This is a way to demonstrate your companies commitment towards EHS. This will always add value only. Please go ahead and make one.
We had earlier many discussion on the same topic in this forum itself. Please use the research option available on the top and explore the knowledge base.
