Dear All, As per factories act employee is eligible for Sick Leaves? if so how many for one year? if the employee is covered under ESI act then is he eligible for sick leaves?
the same strategy if the employee is covered under A.P Shops and establishment act and he/she is covered under ESI act then those are eligible for sick leaves or not?
kindly give your valuable answers to my question.

Dear Kalyan, If the employee is covered in ESI so, he or she is not eligible for sick leaves and it would be same for Factory Act and Shop & Estabalisment Act of any state. Thanks, Preeti Singh

Dear
it is not right to say that if an employee is covered under ESI than he will not get sick leave.you have to move as per the provisions of the act.
As per the factories act there is no provision of sick leave, however in few states factory rules has description of sick leave .As per delhi factory rules sick leaves are allowed.so you can refer AP factory rules ,if it will be there than it will be given to all.
Now you have raised question of AP shops and establishment act-as per the said act 12 days sick leaves are allowed in a year and everyone is entitled for sick leave whether he is covered under ESI or not
