Hi All,
I am working with an It company and I need to prepare a training module on workplace etiquette with some fun activities to engage the employees and make them practically understand the about the importance of such etiquette. Kindly provide me with some ideas on the activities that can be included in the module. Thanks.

Hi Garima,

Workplace Etiquettes is always a lighter topic with serious messages compared to other types of one-day training's.

Please find attached a PPT on Professional Workplace Etiquettes.

It covers maximum topics like -

What is Etiquette?,

Etiquettes & Manners - Soft Skills,

Business & Workplace Etiquettes,

Topics on communication - Introductions and handshake

Values - Showing respect, Kindness

Office Gossip, Politics

Sensitization to Gender Equality and Sexual Harassment

Use of Office Resources etc.

This should be more than enough to get you to generate your own ideas on spot. You will know on each of the above

you can develop stories and "what is the right way and what is not" examples and 2 min activities for each.

Remember you don't have to demonstrate always.

If you like, you may divide the session into two parts

- Etiquettes that enhance employability and perception at workplace

- Etiquettes and mannerisms that are perceived as unprofessional and can give serious setbacks to career

Basically keep coming back to "whats in it for me"!

Other than that, its a nice topic to always talk to about, to your employees.

Employees will often clear their doubts on certain policies (if you are part of the HR team)

in such sessions. Keep it on track though.

Take their feedback and record their examples for future references.

Best Wishes.
