Dear All,
My organisation is reviewing our HR Balance Scorecard and would like to benchmark it with other organisations.
What i am interested in is to understand what are the measures and metrics that is currently being used in other companies.
If you could share your organisation's HR BSC and /or give me time to discuss it with you, it would be very useful. I will ensure confidentiality of the information you share with me.
Any help in this regard will be very appreciated.

Hi Shitesh,
Nice topic to discuss. I am not sure if organization's who are working towards /or have implemented an HRBSC would be able to share/discuss it as you know its an Organisation Strategy document. You can also try posting this in "Talk To seniors" section of this forum as well.
But I wont let you go empty handed. As far as bench-marking is considered it may be tricky as no two organizations or practices are ever the same.Again the argument becomes less than convincing when things like business objectives and resources are taken into consideration.
If you can lay that to rest for now then all you actually need to broaden your research for your current organization is - HR Strategy Map, then forming the HR Balance Scorecard - measures and metrics and then establishing the KPI's against those.
If you are looking forward to form these then you may go through the attached ppt on HR Balance Scorecard and KPI. It has a sample template of the various Areas and how to measure them.
I trust it may add-in to what you have set out to put together.
If anyone else has standardized templates they would be great to look at.
Best Wishes

Dear Andy,
Good PPT about metrics with explanation.I am sure Shitesh would benefit from it. However, I would like to recommend to all those HR Executives/Managers, who's organization wants to adopt BSC for strategy development and implementation to participate in Strategy simplified workshop organized by MasterCard who incidentally conduct these workshops spread over 4 Sundays with telephonic assistance / hand holding in the intervening week. Their success is well documented in terms of real time feed backs from past participants.
As a first step, it would serve everyone good, even those who have adopted BSC to do a HR SWOT. I can share a questionnaire with those who are interested. All they need to do is provide to me their email ID
Best wishes,
