Dear Ms. Sai Lakshmi,
Leave policies provisioned as per state. A Software IT service usually falls under Shops& Commercial Establisment Act and is observed as below in terms of CL, SL, EL. [CL and SL would be utilized by an employee from the joining date].
- CL can be taken 12 days during the calendar year as it stands lapsed if unused at the year end.
- SL can be taken as 12 desired days and is not carry forwarded to the next calendar year.
- Conversely, 15 EL is alloted to the employee only after the completion of one year of employee's continuos service (in the year an employee should have not worked less than 240 days in the preceeding year). Leave can be encashed for 8 days in a year. However Company pays 15 days wages/salary in lieu of Earn leaves at the time of Pongal subject to availability of 15 days leave. Otherwise balance leave is allowed to encash.
