I received sms for pf balance EE amount is 1768 and ER amount is 541. but this is 4 months amount after that my co. shift me other co. my PF per month cut in my salary is 500 as per me my balance is minimum 4000 but i cant under stand what is sms means.

Your EPF contribution will be divided into EE and ER. EE is employee contribution, the amount which is deducted from your salary. The other is ER i.e. employer contribution. 8.33% out of 12% of ER amount will fall under pension fund which is not displayed. Only 3.67% out of 12% of ER will be displayed. If you withdraw your PF amount before 10 years, you can withdraw EE and ER along with the amount that has fallen under pension fund. If you continue the same A/C for more than 10 years, then automatically your pension A/C will be activated and you can enjoy the benefits under pension scheme.
As of now your PF amount in your A/C is 1768+ 541(3.67% of EE) + 1228 (8.33% of EE) = 3537 rs Approximately
