Dear friends,
All employers in Maharashtra are required to intimate their Permanent Account No. (PAN) and Tax Deduction Account No. (TAN) under Income Tax Act to the registering authority under Profession Tax Act latest by 30.11.2012. Further all employers proposing to make application for enrolment have to give this information in their application.
Copy of notification in this regard is attached for information.

Dear Agrawal ji,
Thank you very much for your posting.
In Maharashtra, the Government comes out with many Notifications, Notices, Circulars, guidelines and give certain deadlines for compliance some times. But the concern departments, its officers are totally unaware of such Notifications, Notices, Circulars, guidelines.
The MPT department, i.e. department of Sales Tax amongst other departments on TOP which do not know any thing on developmental issues.
I hope the above comments of mine are not amounting to any offence. GOD knows.....????
