Dear Raghu
All over the country, even the big corporate companies are not properly following the proper methodology for making temporary power installation. But whenever any accident took place immediately the entire team will start working on it to rectify upto some extent and then also they are not doing it properly. It is we to take care of the workers and always we must insist the workers for safe handling of materials and electrical appliances.

Dear All,
The electrical panels should be IP 55 or IP 65 compliant.
The dust rain water should not enter the panel.
Cut outs should not be made once it is in service.
However the fact shared by Raghu is common in India.
We should try to eliminate at our wrok place
Thanks & Regards,
Sudhir

Dear Raghu
Thanks for sharing a valuable alert.
Mr. Sudhir...pls let me know whether IEC codes are applicable in India? Whether Indian electricity rules describes the IP rating / level of protection for distribution boards?

Dear Vijay,
IE act is inforce in India.
IP 55 and IP 65 are the protection classes for outdoor electrical equipments.
IEC codes are very much applicable in India.
Many companies ask for type test as per relevant IEC standard from external labs.
More over as a Customer we can demand the compliance as per relevant IEC code.
Thanks & Regards,
Sudhir
