Hi All,
I am working in the leading IT company & i am having 5 years of experience.
But my engineering degree has been completed late by 1 year due to backlogs.
Will there be any issues in case I switch a job due to the extended degree.

Hello Sushma,
Some companies [especially MNCs & Top Indian IT Companies] have clear guidelines w.r.t. the MAX no. of attempts [more than the actual duration per se] to clear the degree, while some don't have any such strict rules.
Suggest check these aspects before applying for any new company/job.
All the Best.

Hello Sushma,
I agree with the views expressed by Mr TS.
Since you are already in a job the prospective employer would test your experience
in most cases, rather than your academics
(in companies where there is no restriction on the number of attempts that you had taken).
However in interviews, this topic may surface in the open discussion.
It is good to tell the truth and a valid reason if you have one.
So forget the past, prepare well and concentrate on how best you can perform.
As the years pass by, the relevance and proficiency of your expertise
will count in your favour and nullify the mild stigma.
Good luck

Actually i have given the interview in the leading MNC company. During the technical interview the interviewer doesnt ask this question , but the question was asked by HR interviewer. I have told the HR & they have released the offer. Will the there be any issue, after joining
the company as the the person who has taken the interview is not aware about this fact & i am going to work under him.

Hello Sushma,
You have given the interview and Technical Member didn't ask about the attempts.
HR Interviewer has asked and you have truthfully answered.
The MNC has released the order also. This means their policy allows cases like yours.
Perhaps HR had already intimated the Technical Committee member.
Anyway now it is their internal call and you need not worry about it.
Between you and the organization you have revealed the fact.
You have done your part. Join and do well.
These minor worries will become a thing of the past.
Wish you all the best

Dear Lebanon,
Bad news, chances are thin given the strict. filter at HCL. However, Practise Managers at HCL might exercise discretion. Hence, if you match their criteria that might still push your hiring as a lateral case with the business HR. Consider being referred by these Practices Managers.
Good news with your experience your are going to be hired for it than you degree.
Request you to focus on companies and Hiring Managers, that hire for experience than degrees.
Hope that helps!
